The object of this paper is to carry out proofs of weighted versions of Wiener type inversion theorems in the theory of Banach algebras and to derive, as an application, inversion theorems and quantitative relationship properties for multiplicative arithmetic functions. This solves a problem posed by \textit{W. Schwarz} [Banach Cent. Publ. 17, 463- 494 (1985; Zbl 0598.10049)].
