Multicomponent flow calculations have been carried out by using Euler equations augmented by additional species equations. In general, the conservation form of the equation provides the best flow description. But for flows with material interfaces oscillations and other computational inaccuracies will occur. These are not the commom oscillations associated with high order numerical schemes. In order to eliminate the oscillations, a nonconservative Euler formulation has been proposed. The numerical algorithm uses small viscous perturbations to remove leading order conservation errors. Numerical experiments show solutions with monotonic behaviour.
