    In this paper some formulas for the \(n\)-th derivative of the function \(f(z^ p)\) are found. An application of this formula in the generalized Hermite polynomials' theory is investigated. In particular: Theorem 1. For an arbitrary complex number \(p \neq 0\) and \(n = 1, 2, \dots\) we have the formula \[ {d^ n \over dz^ n} f(z^ p) = n! \sum^ n_{k = 1} a_{nk} (p) {z^{pk - n} \over k!} \left[ {d^ k \over dt^ k} f(t) \right]_{t = z^ p} \] where the coefficients \(a_{nk} (p)\) are generated by the Taylor expansions \[ \bigl[ (1 + z)^ p - 1 \bigr]^ k \equiv \sum^ \infty_{n = k} a_{nk} (p)z^ n, \quad k = 2, 3, \dots, | z | < 1. \tag{1} \] Theorem 2. For arbitrary complex numbers \(p \neq 0\), \(\lambda \neq 0\), any branch of the function \(z^ p\) for \(z \neq 0\) and \(\infty\), and \(n = 0, 1, 2, \dots\) the formula \[ e^{ - \lambda z^ p} {d^ n \over dz^ n} e^{\lambda z^ p} = {n! \over z^ n} P_ n (p, \lambda z^ p) \] holds, where \(P_ n (p,x)\) are the polynomials \[ P_ n (p,x) = \sum^ n_{k = 0} a_{nk} (p) {z^ k \over k!}, \quad n = 0, 1, 2, \dots, \] where the coefficients \(a_{nk} (p)\) are given by (1), and \(a_{00} (p) = 1\), \(a_{n0} (p) = 0\) for \(n \geq 1\). The polynomials are the generalization of the Hermite polynomials.
