Boundary condition of the third kind (also known as Robbins condition) has been used to devise an extremely simple method of satisfying the no- slip boundary condition to second-order accuracy for solving problems of incompressible viscous flows using the vorticity-stream function form of the complete unsteady Navier-Stokes equations. It has been applied to the test problem of flow past circular cylinders. Excellent agreement has been obtained with previous theoretical and experimental results despite the use of simple finite-difference techniques.
