The purpose of this note is to prove, by a method of \textit{M. T. Anderson} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 2, No. 1, 29-89 (1992; Zbl 0768.53021)], an isoperimetric inequality of Gallot's type [\textit{S. Gallot}, C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I 296, 333-336 (1983; Zbl 0535.53034)], for compact Riemannian orbifolds. An orbifold is locally a quotient \(U = \widetilde{U}/G\) of uniformizing open set \(\widetilde{U}(\subseteq \mathbb{R}^ m)\) by a finite subgroup \(G\) of the group of the orientation preserving diffeomorphisms of \(\widetilde{U}\), where each element of \(G\) is assumed to act on \(\widetilde{U}\) with fixed point set of codimension \(\geq 2\) [see \textit{I. Satake}, J. Math. Soc. Japan 9, 464-492 (1957; Zbl 0080.374) for more details)]. As a result, we can generalize Gallot's theorem on a Sobolev constant [\textit{S. Gallot}, C. R. Acad.Sci. Paris, Sér. I 292, 375-377 (1981; Zbl 0458.53026)] to orbifolds. This together with [\textit{S. Bando} and \textit{T. Mabuchi}, Algebraic geometry, Proc. Symp., Sendai/Jap. 1985, Adv. Stud. Pure Math. 10, 11-40 (1987; Zbl 0641.53065)] implies the uniqueness of Einstein-Kähler metrics for Fano orbifolds, which can also be obtained directly for [Bando and Mabuchi (loc. cit.)] by Li-Yau's results [\textit{P. Li} and \textit{S.-T. Yau}, Geometry of the Laplace operator, Honolulu/Hawaii 1979, Proc. Symp. Pure Math., Vol. 36, 205-239 (1980; Zbl 0441.58014) and Acta Math. 156, 154- 201 (1986; Zbl 0611.58045)] (see Remark 2.1).
