Let \(X\) be a locally compact Hausdorff topological space, which is \(\sigma\)-compact; let \(\mu\) be a positive Radon measure on \(X\) and let \(\Omega\) be the space of all locally integrable functions \(f:X\to\mathbb{K}\), the field of real or complex numbers. For a subset \(\Lambda\subset \Omega\), let \(\Lambda^ \times\) be the set of all \(g\in \Omega\) such that \(f\cdot g\) is integrable for each \(f\in \Lambda\); and \(\Lambda^ \times\) is called the Köthe-dual of \(\Lambda\). Suppose that \(\Lambda\) is perfect and \(\mu(\Lambda, \Lambda^ \times)\) and \(\beta (\Lambda, \Lambda^ \times)\) denote the Mackey topology and the strong topology on \(\Lambda\). Among other results, it is shown that \(\mu (\Lambda, \Lambda^ \times)= \beta (\Lambda, \Lambda^ \times) \Leftrightarrow \Lambda\) is separable with the strong topology. Given a sequence \((g_ n)\) of locally integrable functions, let \(\Lambda\) denote the Köthe-dual of \((g_ n)\). The authors establish that \(\Lambda\) endowed with the strong topology is a Fréchet space with dual \(\Lambda^ \times\).
