The paper is devoted to the study of the dynamic stability of a viscoelastic cylindrical shell under periodic and random loading. Using the stability functionals, we derive some sufficient stability conditions and obtain explicit expressions for the critical load. The effect of the rheological and geometrical parameters on the critical forces is analysed.
