We discuss the dependence of the chaotic motions upon the beam model; more precisely, we study the following aspects: 1. how the appearence of the chaotic motion is affected by the more refined beam models; 2. how the chaotic motion depends upon the beam model. To analyse these aspects, we use besides the usual Bernoulli-Euler model, the Rayleigh model which takes into account the rotatory inertia effect, and the Timoshenko model which includes both the rotatory inertia effect and the shear forces effect. The differences that appear between the solutions corresponding to the three models have been emphasized by numerical ``linear acceleration'' type method with fewer iterations at each point of the mesh.
