Let \(G\) be a finite group. Let \(\gamma_G=\max_{d\mid|G|} {1\over d}\{x^d=1,\;x\in G\}\) be the multiplicity of \(G\), and \(\ell_G=\min_{x\in G}\{[G:\langle x\rangle]\}\) be the cocyclicity of \(G\). If \(\ell_G\leq\gamma_G\), the group \(G\) is called paracyclic. Let \({\mathfrak F}_p\) be the class of paracyclic groups and \({\mathfrak F}_q\) be the class of non-paracyclic groups. Let \({\mathcal P}=\{n:|G|=n\Rightarrow G\in {\mathfrak F}_p\}\) and \({\mathcal Q}=\mathbb{N}\setminus {\mathcal P}=\{|G|:G\in {\mathfrak F}_q\}\). The authors investigate the multiplicative structure of \(\mathcal P\) and \(\mathcal Q\), and find a density criterion for multiplicative sequences. In particular, it is proved that \(\mathcal P\) has logarithmic density \(\delta\) equal to its upper asymptotic density, and correspondingly \(\mathcal Q\) has logarithmic density \(\eta=1- \delta\) equal to its lower asymptotic density.
