Characterizations of convex univalent functions (Q1330813)

The authors establish a characterization of convex univalent functions. Since a precise statement is slightly technical, we give a rough statement which conveys the simple geometric idea involved. If a locally univalent function on the open unit disk is not convex univalent, then part of the boundary of the Riemann image surface is not convex. As applications of this result, the authors obtain two quite different analytic characterizations of convex univalent functions, one of them answers a question raised by \textit{Seong-A. Kim} and \textit{D. Minda} [J. Analysis 1, 109-118 (1993; Zbl 0774.30047)].
