Let \(P(z)\) be a polynomial of degree \(n \geq 2\) with all its zeros in the closed unit disk \(| z | \leq 1\). If a is one of their zeros \((0 \leq a \leq 1)\) then the conjecture of Goodman, Rahman and Ratti and Schmeisser says that the disk \(| z - {a \over 2} | \leq 1-{a \over 2}\) contains at least one zero of \(P'(z)\). This conjecture is known to be true for \(n \leq 5\) and false for \(n \geq 6\). In the reviewed paper the authors consider the above conjecture for polynomials with multiple zeros. For instance the following theorem is proved: Theorem 1. Suppose \(p(z) = (z-a) \prod^ k_{j=1} (z-z_ j)^{n_ j}\) is a polynomial of degree \(n=1 + \sum^ k_{j=1} n_ j\), with \(0 \leq a \leq 1\), \(| z_ j | \leq 1\) and \(n_ j \geq 1\) for \(1 \leq j \leq k\). Then \(p'(z)\) has at least one zero in the disk \(| z - {a \over 2} | \leq 1 - {a \over 2}\) for all \(n\) and \(k\) for which the inequality \((1 + x - x^ 2)^ 2 \leq 1+ (n-1)x\), \(0<x<1\) holds.
