The present paper is concerned with the strong law of large numbers (SLLN) for a sequence of pairwise independent and identically distributed closed random sets. A crucial point is the choice of a suitable topology on the set of all closed subsets of a given topological space. The starting point is the multivalued SLLN in the Wijsman topology for random sets with closed values in a separable Banach space. The author then deduces two versions of the multivalued SLLN in the slice topology, which was introduced by \textit{Y. Sonntag} and \textit{C. Zălinescu} [Pitman Res. Notes Math. Ser. 250, 312-323 (1991)] and studied by \textit{G. Beer} [Sémin. Anal. Convexe, Univ. Sci. Tech. Languedoc 21, Expo. No. 2, 44 p. (1991); ibid. Expo. No. 3, 35 p. (1991)]. When the slice topology is restricted to closed convex sets, it is an extension of the topology of Mosco convergence to nonreflexive spaces. It is stable with respect to duality. The preceding results of the author being valid for random sets with unbounded values, can be applied to the special case where the random sets are epigraphical multifunctions associated with integrands.
