Left cells in the affine Weyl group \(W_ a({\widetilde D}_ 4)\) (Q1333605)

In [Tôhoku Math. J., II. Ser. 46, 105--124 (1994; Zbl 0798.20040)] the author constructed an algorithm to find a representative set of left cells of a certain crystallographic group \(W\) in a given two-sided cell. In this paper, the author applies it to the case when \(W\) is the affine Weyl group \(W_a\) of type \(\widetilde{D}_4\) and gives an explicit description for all the left cells of \(W_a\) by finding a representative set of left cells of \(W_a\). His method avoids any computation of non-trivial Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.
