A homogeneous space \(M = G/H\) of a connected Lie group \(G\) is called plesiocompact if there is a cocompact Lie subgroup \(F\) of \(G\) containing \(H\) such that on \(F/H\) there exists a finite invariant measure. In this case the subgroup \(H\) is said to be plesiouniform in \(G\). For any Lie subgroup \(H\) of \(G\), the author defines \(P(H) = H(N_G(H^0))^0\) and \(P^k(H) = P(P^{k-1} (H))\). It is known that \(P^k(H) = P^2(H)\), \(k \geq 3\), whenever \(H\) is plesiouniform. The purpose of this paper is to study \(P^2(H)\). The author describes explicitly the structure of \(P^2(H)^0\); in particular, this subgroup is cocompact and lies in a parabolic subgroup of \(G\). It follows that the subgroups \(P^2(H)^0\), for various plesiouniform subgroups \(H\) of \(G\), only build a finite set of conjugacy classes in \(G\). This permits to formulate a program of constructing all the plesiouniform subgroups of \(G\). The author also studies the fibration \(P^2(H)/H \to G/H \to G/P^2(H)\).
