The authors return to the classification of table algebras. These now have a considerable literature; the references in this paper will point interested readers to the relevant papers. Table algebras contain as special cases both the algebra of characters and the algebra of conjugacy classes of finite groups. Thus the authors are looking for uniform ways of proving results about both the characters and the conjugacy classes of finite groups. The results are quite technical and so the statements are difficult to summarise briefly. The main results are a theorem about table algebras, Theorem A, and an application to a class of groups the authors refer to as ``extended Camina groups'', Theorem B. The paper is interesting and the ideas might be extendible to a wider class of groups and algebras.
