Kemer has developed the structure theory of ideals of polynomial identities for algebras over a field \(K\) of characteristic 0 [see \textit{A. R. Kemer}, Ideals of identities of associative algebras (Transl. Math. Monogr. 87, 1991; Zbl 0732.16001) for the account]. The building blocks of the theory of Kemer are the \(T\)-ideals of the identities for the \(m \times m\) matrix algebra \(M_m(K)\), the \(m \times m\) matrix algebra \(E_m = M_m(E)\) with entries from the Grassmann (or exterior) algebra \(E\) and some subalgebras of \(E_m\). In the paper under review the author studies the cocharacter sequence of the \(T\)-ideal \(E_m\) which gives the most important quantitative information about the identities of the algebra. The main result of the paper is to give an upper bound for the multiplicities of the irreducible \(S_n\)-characters of the cocharacter sequence. The proofs are based on detailed study of the relations between the ordinary and the \(\mathbb{Z}_2\)-graded identities of a given \(\mathbb{Z}_2\)-graded algebra satisfying some specific graded identities of Capelli and anti-Capelli type.
