The errors estimation of the Chebyshev spectral-difference method for two-dimensional vorticity equation (Q1335408)

This paper is concerned with the numerical solution of the two- dimensional vorticity equation with semi-homogeneous boundary conditions. Using the Chebyshev approximation in the \(x_ 1\)-direction and the difference approximation in the \(x_ 2\)-direction, the author proposes a Chebyshev spectral-difference scheme. With the help of the energy method, the author analyses the errors induced by initial errors and boundary value errors, and proves the generalized stability and convergence of the scheme.
