The authors consider a sequence of eigenfunctions \(\{u_ n\}\) of an ordinary differential operator with a continuous positive weight function \(\rho\). The eigenfunctions satisfy a normalization condition related to \(\rho\). A theorem describing a possible growth rate of \(| u_ n (x) |\) as \(n\) tends to infinity is formulated in terms of the weight function \(\rho\). This short notice does not contain a proof.
