Let \(C_ n\) be a real Clifford algebra with unit \(e_ 0\) and generators \(e_ 1,e_ 2,\dots, e_ n\). A multivector is an element \(x\in C_ n\) that can be written in the form \(x= \sum^ m_{i= 1} x_ i e_{\alpha_ i}\) for some partition of the set of indices \(\{1, 2,\dots, n\}\) into pairwise disjoint nonempty subsets \(\alpha_ 1, \alpha_ 2,\dots, \alpha_ m\). A general criterion is given of the non- invertibility of a multivector in \(C_ n\), which is simple in the case \(n\leq 5\).
