The author considers classical solutions of linear parabolic equations in smooth cylindrical domains. He establishes conditions for existence of nontangential limits and \(L_2\)-limits as \(t \to 0\) for these solutions. He uses a method which was suggested by Burkholder and Gundy for the Laplace equation.
