This paper deals with acoustic waves reflected by a one-dimensional random medium. For the study of the reflected amplitude, the authors introduce a class of distribution valued stochastic processes, related to the local power spectral density of amplitude. Using the martingale formulation and a duality argument, they analyze these processes and show their asymptotic properties, when they are scaled in a natural way.
