A function theory which is called \((\lambda,k)\) bianalytic function theory has been developed by \textit{L. K. Hua}, \textit{W. Lin} and \textit{C.-Q. Wu} [`Second-order systems of partial differential equation in the plane' (1985; Zbl 0572.35003)]. Bianalytic functions of several variables have been studied by \textit{H. Begehr} and the author [Complex Variables, Theory Appl. 24, No. 1-2, 89-106 (1994; Zbl 0794.32005)]. In this note we introduce the Cauchy integral of bi-analytic type in two variables and as an application consider the generalized Riemann boundary value problem.
