The author studies stationary magnetoconvection in penumbral region of sunspot due to oblique magnetic field in the \(x - z\) plane making an angle with the vertical. The Landau-Ginzburg equation describing the effect of oblique magnetic field on Rayleigh-Bénard convection near the onset of stationary convection at supercritical cusp bifurcation is analytically solved. Also, analytical solutions are given for a nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equation describing behaviour near the onset of stationary convection. The paper is presented in a clear form and should be of interest to researchers engaged in the theoretical Spects of magnetohydrodynamic instabilities. Nothing is mentioned about interpretation and presentation of the results in plots.
