    The authors consider a quantizable Kähler manifold \((M,\omega)\) and a quantum line bundle \(L\) with metric \(h\) over \(M\). They assume \(L\) to be very ample. Let \({\mathcal H}^{(m)}\) be the Hilbert space of holomorphic sections in \(L^ m\) with scalar product \[ \langle \phi| \psi\rangle := \int_ M h^ m (\phi,\psi) \Omega, \qquad h^ m:= h\otimes \dots \otimes h\quad (m\text{ factors}). \] Let \({\mathcal P}(M)\) be the Poisson algebra of the convergence-free or value-preserving vector fields on \(M\). The authors prove the following limit theorems: 1. For any \(f \in {\mathcal P}(M)\) there is some \(c > 0\) such that \[ | f|_ \infty - {c\over m} \leq | T^{(m)}_ f| \leq | f|_ \infty \qquad \text{as }m \to \infty. \] Here \(| f|_ \infty\) is the sup-norm of \(f\) on \(M\) and \(| T^{(m)}_ f|\) is the operator norm on \({\mathcal H}^{(m)}\). In particular \[ \lim_{m \to\infty} | T^{(m)}_ f| = | f|_ \infty. \] 2. For all \(f,g \in {\mathcal P}(M)\) \[ \biggl| m[T^{(m)}_ f, T^{(m)}_ g] - iT^{(m)}_{\{f,g\}}\biggr| = O(m^{-1}) \quad \text{as }m\to \infty. \] From both theorems it easily follows that \[ \lim_{m \to \infty} \biggl| [T^{(m)}_ f, T^{(m)}_ g]\biggr | = 0. \] This enables the authors to approximate the Poisson algebras by a finite-dimensional matrix algebra \(\text{gl}(N)\) as \(N \to \infty\).
