Wiener's Tauberian theorem is a basic result of spectral synthesis on locally compact Abelian groups. The author considers a set of certain quasi-translates of a continuous function \(g\) on the unit sphere \(S^ m \subseteq \mathbb{R}^{m+1}\). Proving that density of this set in \(C(S^ m)\) holds if and only if the Fourier-coefficients are nonzero, the author has in fact obtained Wiener's Tauberian theorem for the unit sphere \(S^ m\).
