The author considers nonlinear integral equations of the second kind such as: \[ g(t)= f(t)+ \int^ t_ 0 K(t,s,f(s))ds,\qquad 0\leq t\leq T, \] where \(g\) and \(K\) are smooth functions. The Hermite predictor-corrector scheme is based on the formula: \[ \int^{t_ n}_ 0 F(s)ds= \sum_{1\leq i\leq n} \int^{t_ i}_{t_{i-1}} F(s)ds\cong \sum \sum C_{j,q} h^ j[F^{(j-1)}(t_{i-1})+ (-1)^{j-1} F^{(j-1)}(t_ i)]. \] The following example is treated numerically: \[ u'(t)+ u(t)- \textstyle{{3\over 5}}\displaystyle{\int^ 1_ 0} u(t- s) u(s) ds= 30(1+ t)\cos(3t). \] This type of equation comes from turbulent diffusion. Reviewer's remark: I suggest the decomposition method of Adomian for solving these problems because it avoids the approximation of the nonlinear operator.
