Here groups \(G\) are considered with the property that the commutator subgroup of any subgroup generated by two elements is of order bounded by \(n\). We aim at statements on the structure of \(G\) itself like direct decomposition, Fitting length or statements on some characteristic quotients of \(G\) like \(G/Z(G)\) or \(F_ 2(G)/F(G)\). For small \(n\) the groups are characterized completely. As an example we mention here: Theorem 7 ``If \(G\) belongs to \(({\mathcal C}_ n)\) and is finite, then abelian two-generator subgroups of \(F_ 2 (G)/F(G)\) are of order not exceeding \(n - 1\)''. Theorem 8 ``Let \(G\) be a finite soluble group. (i) If \(G\) belongs \(({\mathcal C}_ 2)\), then \(G\) is nilpotent. (ii) If \(G\) belongs to \(({\mathcal C}_{11})\), then \(G\) is metanilpotent. (iii) If \(G\) belongs to \(({\mathcal C}_{215})\), then \(G\) has nilpotency length at most three. (iv) If \(G\) belongs to \(({\mathcal C}_ n)\) with \(\log n/\log 6\) smaller than \(3.(4/3)^{k-3}\), \(k\) greater or equal to 3, then \(F_ k(G) = G\)''.
