Dimension on discrete spaces (Q1340323)

The major part of this paper is of expository type, describing discrete models for continuous spaces and their dimensions as they have been discussed earlier by \textit{A. V. Ivashchenko} [Discrete Math. 126, No. 1- 3, 159-170 (1994; Zbl 0798.05027), ibid. 122, No. 1-3, 219-233 (1993), ibid. 120, No. 1-3, 107-114 (1993; Zbl 0784.05046)] and \textit{A. V. Ivashchenko} and \textit{Yeong-Nan Yeh} [Discrete Math. 126, No. 1-3, 171- 178 (1994; Zbl 0799.05017)]. These investigations are continued by presenting some discrete analogues to three-dimensional closed manifolds with singularities and analyzing the topology of \((3+1)\)-space-time within this framework.
