Factorizations of nonrigid Zariski dense representations of \(\pi_ 1\) of projective algebraic manifolds (Q1340647)

In this paper it is shown that any non-rigid Zariski dense representation \(\rho : \pi_1 (X) \to SL_n (\mathbb{C})\), with \(X\) a complex smooth projective variety, factors in a certain sense (after passing to the associated projective representation and restriction to Zariski open sets) through a regular projection \(f : X \to Y\), where \(\dim Y \leq n - 1\).
