The most famous result about the asymptotic completeness of three-body long range scattering, which is due to V. Enss, concerns interaction potentials decaying like \(| x|^{- \gamma}\) at infinity, with \(\gamma> \sqrt{3} -1\). The purpose of this paper is to generalize this result in allowing slower decaying potentials. In particular, the asymptotic completeness is proved for interactions which are a sum of a non negative potential decaying like \(| x|^{- \varepsilon}\) with \(\varepsilon> 1/2\), and of a potential decaying like \(| x|^{- \gamma}\) with \(\gamma> 2(1- \varepsilon)/ \varepsilon\). The proof is based on microlocal time-decay estimates for the quantum unitary group. Note that the case \(\varepsilon= \sqrt{3} -1\) permits to recover Enss' result.
