Harnack inequalities are proved for a class of parabolic equations for evolving hypersurfaces in Euclidean space. Special cases of these results have been proved before by Hamilton and Chow; the long calculations of these papers are avoided here by reparametrising the hypersurfaces using the Gauss map. An entropy inequality is proved for some special evolution equations.
