Let \(L\) and \(M\) be any two simple rational modules for the simple algebraic groups \(G\) of type \(C_2\) and \(F_4\) in characteristic 2 and type \(G_2\) in characteristic 3. Exploiting the special endomorphisms which exist for these groups, the author computes \(\text{Ext}_G^1 (L,M)\).
