Let \(f:(\mathbb{C}^{n + 2},0) \to \mathbb{C}\) be the germ of an analytic function with the following properties: (i) the critical set is a two-dimensional complete intersection with isolated singularity at 0; (ii) in points different from 0 of the critical set, \(f\) is equivalent to \(x^ 2_ 1+ \cdots + x^ 2_ n\) or \(x_ 1x^ 2_ 2 + x^ 2_ 3 + \cdots + x^ 2_ n\). It is proved that the Milnor fibre of \(f\) is \((n-1)\)-connected if \(f\) is equivalent to \(x_ 1 x_ 2^ 2 + x^ 2_ 3 + \cdots + x^ 2_ n\) at some point of the critical set. The Euler characteristic of the Milnor fibre of \(f\) is computed.
