\(C\)-\(rpp\) semigroup denotes a semigroup \(S\) whose principal right ideals are all projective, (i.e. they are up to isomorphism generated by an idempotent) and all idempotents of \(S\) lie in the center of \(S\). The semigroup \(S\) is called a left Clifford semigroup if it is regular and satisfies the condition \(aS \subseteq Sa\) for all \(a \in S\). It is shown that this is equivalent to saying that \(S\) is a semilattice of direct products of left cancellative monoids and left zero bands. Moreover every left \(C\)-\(rpp\) semigroup is a semi-spined product of a \(C\)-\(rpp\) semigroup and a left regular band (i.e. a band in which \(xyx = xy\) holds).
