This paper proves several theorems saying that any equivariant free \(h\)-cobordism between two free \(G\)-homotopy spheres \(X\) and \(X'\) is equivariantly diffeomorphic to \(X\times I\). This is interpreted as an analog of Milnor's theorem that an \(h\)-cobordism between lens spaces is a product, leading to the title. The main result of the paper is actually a determination of the groups \(G\) for which \(SK_1 (Z[ G])= \text{ker} [K_1 (Z[G ])\to K_1 (Q[ G])] =0\). The results are then given for this list of groups.
