    Let \(\sum^* (p,A,B)\) and \(\sum_ k (p,A, B)\) be the classes of functions of the form \(f(z)= z^{-p}+ \sum_{k=0}^ \infty a_ k z^ k\) \((p\in N= \{1, 2,\dots\})\) which are regular in the punctured unit disc \(\{z\): \(0<| z|< 1\}\) and satisfies the condition \[ - {{zf'(z)} \over {f(z)}} \prec p {{1+Az} \over {1+Bz}} \qquad \text{and} \qquad -\biggl( {{zf''(z)} \over {f(z)}}+1 \biggr) \prec p {{1+Az} \over {1+Bz}}, \] respectively. Let \(A\), \(B\), \(\delta\) be such that \(-1\leq B<1\), \(B<A\) and \(\delta>-1\). The function \(f\) of the above form is said to be in \(T_ \delta (p, A, B)\) if and only if \[ - \biggl[ {{E^{\delta +1} f(z)} \over {E^ \delta f(z)}} -2 \biggr] \prec {{1+(p (A-B)+ Bz)} \over {1+Bz}}, \] where \(E^ \delta f(z) =z^{-p} (1-z)^{-\delta-1} * f(z)\) and \(*\) denotes the Hadamard convolution. For \(p=1\), these classes together with another subclass of functions called \(\lambda\) spiral-like function of order \(\beta\), have been studied by the reviewer [Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Math. Sci. 103, No. 1, 73-89 (1993; Zbl 0772.30017)]. Using the same method of proof, the authors of this paper extend some of the results of the reviewer. In particular, necessary and sufficient conditions, in terms of Hadamard convolution, for functions \(f\) to belong to \(\sum^* (p, A, B)\), \(\sum_ k (p, A, B)\) and the class of \(p\)- valent meromorphic \(\lambda\) spiral-like of order \(\beta\), respectively, have been obtained. Conditions on the parameters \(A\), \(B\), \(A'\), \(B'\) have also been determined to achieve the inclusion results: \(T_{\delta+1} (p, A, B) \subset T_ \delta (p, A', B')\).
