Let \(M\) be a complete simply connected manifold without conjugate points. The author shows that Busemann functions on \(M\) are \(C^2\) if the stable Jacobi tensor \(J_v\) depends continuously on \(v \in SM\). He shows that any horofunction is a Busemann function if \(J_v\) is Lipschitz continuous in \(v \in SM\).
