Suppose that a Noetherian ring \(R\) is \(H(R)\)-simple where \(H(R)\) denotes the set of all higher derivations. Thus (0) and \(R\) are the only \(R\)-ideals that are \(d_i\)-closed for all \(D = \{d_i\} \in H(R)\). Then (1) \(R\) is a domain containing a field, (2) the conductor of \(R\) in its integral closure \(R'\) is (0) or \(R\), (3) for every prime ideal \( P\) of \(R\), there is exactly one prime ideal \(P'\) of \(R'\) lying over \(P\), and the quotient fields of \(R/P\) and \(R'/P'\) are equal. This improves the main result of \textit{W. C. Brown} [J. Algebra 53, 362-381 (1978; Zbl 0395.13015)].
