Consider the group \(G = \text{SL} (2,2^n)\), where \(n \geq 3\), and let \(F\) be an algebraically closed field of characteristic 2. The group algebra \(FG\) has two blocks, \(B_0\) and \(B_1\), where \(B_0\) is the principle block. It is known that \(B_1\) is a semisimple algebra and that \(B_0\) has wild representation type. If \(\Lambda\) is the basic algebra of \(B_0\), then \(\Lambda \simeq FQ/X\), where \(Q\) is a quiver with relations, \(FQ\) is the path algebra of \(Q\), and \(X\) is the ideal of \(FQ\) generated by the relations. The quiver \(Q\) was determined by \textit{J. L. Alperin} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 15, 219-234 (1979; Zbl 0405.20012]. This paper completes the knowledge by determining the generators of \(X\).
