Numerical results of the evaluation of Cauchy principal value integrals are presented. The authors propose a modified IMT quadrature scheme [cf. \textit{M. Iri, S. Moriguti} and \textit{Y. Takasawa}, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 17, 3-20 (1987; Zbl 0616.65023)] and demonstrate better results than evaluations by means of the Sinc scheme or standard methods as Gaussian or Chebyshev schemes. Five problems are solved by all methods and comparative results are presented.
