The Hirzebruch-Riemann-Roch (HRR) for vector bundles on a non-singular complex variety was generalized by Grothendieck (GRR) and further extended to singular varieties by \textit{P. Baum}, \textit{W. Fulton} and \textit{R. MacPherson} (BFM-RR) in Publ. Math., Inst. Hautes Étud. Sci. 45, 101-145 (1975; Zbl 0332.14003). The HRR theorem says, symbolically speaking, that \(\chi=T\), where \(\chi\) denotes the Euler-Poincaré characteristic of the bundle and \(T\) denotes its Todd characteristic. Hirzebruch generalized these two characteristics to \(\chi_y\) and \(T_y\), introducing a parameter \(y\), and he showed that \(\chi_y = T_y\), which is called the generalized Hirzebruch-Riemann-Roch (g-HRR). Here we emphasize that (1) when \(y = 0\), this is about the arithmetic genus, or Todd class, (2) when \(y = - 1\), this is about the topological Euler- Poincaré characteristic, or the Chern class and (3) when \(y = 1\), this is about the signature, or the Hirzebruch \(L\)-class. In this paper we construct a ``GRR-version'' of g-HRR, using one of the results by the author [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 29, No. 6, 997-1020 (1993; Zbl 0810.14006)]. The ultimate goal is to ``parametrize'' the Baum-Fulton-MacPherson's Riemann-Roch (BFM-RR) with a parameter \(y\) such that when \(y = 0\) you get the original BFM-RR and when it is restricted to the category of smooth varieties it becomes g-GGR, and furthermore such that they should in a sense ``unify'' the three well-known characteristic homology classes of singular varieties (i.e., (1) Baum- Fulton-MacPherson's Todd classes (i.e., BFM-RR), (2) Chern-Schwartz- MacPherson classes and (3) Goresky-MacPherson's homology \(L\)-classes or Cappell and Shaneson's homology \(L\)-classes [cf. \textit{S. E. Cappell} and \textit{I. P. Shaneson}, J. Am. Math. Soc. 4, No. 3, 521-551 (1991; Zbl 0746.32016)]. In his preprint ``A generalized Baum-Fulton-MacPherson's Riemann-Roch'' [Erwin Schrödinger Inst. Prepr. 146 (1994)], the author constructs such a theorem, but it is not satisfactory in the sense that it does not ``unify'' the above three characteristic classes.
