    The vector space \(B\) over a field \(k\) with a binary operation \((\cdot)\) and a ternary operation \(( , , )\) which are linear in all variables is called a Bol algebra if the identities \[ (1) \quad (x,y,y) = 0, \qquad (2) \quad (x,y,z) + (y,z,x) + (z,x,y) = 0, \] \[ \bigl( (x,y,z), u,v \bigr) = \bigl( (x,u,v), y,z \bigr) + \bigl( x,(y,u,v), z \bigr) + \bigl (x,y, (z,u,v) \bigr), \tag{3} \] \[ (4) \quad x \cdot x = 0, \qquad (5) \quad (x \cdot y, u,v) = (x,u,v) \cdot y + x \cdot (y,u,v) + (u \cdot v,x,y) + (x \cdot y) \cdot (u \cdot v) \] hold. Identities (1)--(3) mean that a Bol algebra is a right Lie triple system (LTS) with respect to the operation \(( , , )\). The notion of solvability for ideals of a Bol algebra is given. It is known that any Bol algebra can be embedded in the Lie algebra \(L = B + [B,B]\). \(L\) is called an enveloping algebra for \(B\). The main result is the following: If \(I\) is a solvable ideal of a Bol algebra \(B\), then \(\tilde I = I + [B,I]\) is a solvable ideal in any enveloping Lie algebra \(L\) for \(B\). If \(I\) is a solvable ideal of an LTS \(A\), then \(\tilde I = I + [A,I]\) is a solvable ideal in all enveloping Lie algebras \(L\) for \(A\). By analogy with the case of Lie algebras, the notion of the Killing-Ricci form of a Bol algebra is given.
