    On \({\mathbb R}^d\) with \(d\geq 3\), consider the Schrödinger operator \(A=-\Delta +V\), where \(V\) is a nonnegative nonzero potential satisfying the reverse Hölder inequality with \(q\geq d/2\). Denote by \(\{ T_t\}_{t\geq 0}\) the semigroup of linear operators generated by \(-A\) and define \(H^1 _A =\{f:\, {\mathcal M}f\in L^1\}\), where \({\mathcal M}f(x) = \sup_{t>0}| T_t f(x)| \). Finally, let \(\int^{\infty} _0 \lambda dE_A (\lambda)\) be the spectral resolution of \(A\). It is shown that if a function \(F\) satisfies a certain Mikhlin-type condition, then the ``multiplier'' \(F(A)=\int^{\infty} _0 F(\lambda) dE_A (\lambda)\) is bounded on \(H^1 _A\)
