There are many kinds of conjugacies in triangle geometry. The author introduces the U-Hirst inverse of \(X\), which is a conjugacy given for the points \(U= u: v: w\) and \(X= x: y: z\) by \(U \diamond X= vwx^2- yzu^2: wuy^2- zxv^2: uvz^2- xy w^2\) and presents constructions and properties of Hirst inverses. Further, he generalizes the functional forms for several of these conjugacies, and among others he establishes the following results. Theorem 1: Let \(s\) and \(t\) be real numbers (or suitable functions of \(a, b, c\)), not both zero, and let \[ f(u,v,w, x, y, z)= s(vwx^2- u^2 yz)+ t (uy^2+ uz^2- vxy- wxz). \] The mapping \({\mathcal{M}}\) given by \({\mathcal{M} } (X)= f(u, v, w, x, y, z): f(v, w, u, y, z, x): f(w, u, v, z, x, y) \) is a conjugacy. Theorem 2: Let \(s\) and \(t\) be real numbers (or suitable functions of \(a, b, c\)), not both zero, and let \[ f(u,v,w, x, y, z)= s^2 x (vwx- wuy-uvz)+ t (suvy^2+ suwz^2- tvwyz). \] The mapping \({\mathcal{M}}\) given by \({\mathcal{M} } (X)= f(u, v, w, x, y, z): f(v, w, u, y, z, x): f(w, u, v, z, x, y) \) is a conjugacy.
