The author deals two important topics: the theory for evaluating linguistic predications and the theory of linguistic quantifiers. Both theories are basic to the development of fuzzy logic in the broader sense, proposed as formalization of natural human reasoning. This formalism is connected to fuzzy logic in the narrow sense with evaluated syntax, developed by the author, for modelling the concepts of intension, possible world and extension. A modified definition of linguistic variable is also proposed.
