\((p,q,r)\)-generations of the smallest Conway group \(Co_ 3\) (Q1355526)

A group \(G\) is called \((l,m,n)\)-generated if it is a quotient of the group which has the presentation \(\langle x,y,z\mid x^l=y^m=z^n=xyz=1\rangle\). The authors determine all \((p,q,r)\)-generations of the sporadic simple Conway group \(Co_3\) for primes \(p\), \(q\), \(r\). This work continues related work of the authors on \((l,m,n)\)-generations of sporadic simple groups [Commun.
