A subgroup \(G\) of the group of all orientation-preserving Möbius transformations of \(\overline {\mathbb{R}^n}\) \((n\geq 2)\) is called a Schottky group if there exist disjoint topological balls \(B_1\), \(B_1', \dots, B_m\), \(B_m'\) in \(\overline {\mathbb{R}^n}\) and a system \(g_1, \dots, g_m\) of generators of \(G\) such that \(g_i(\text{ext} B_i)= \text{int} B_i'\) for \(i=1, \dots, m\). Such a group is called classical if \(B_1\), \(B_1', \dots, B_m,B_m'\) can be chosen as a system of Euclidean balls; otherwise \(G\) is called nonclassical. It is the aim of the present note to provide constructive examples of nonclassical Schottky groups acting on \(\overline {\mathbb{R}^4}\). These examples are obtained from certain Kleinian groups with wild limit sets acting on \(\overline {\mathbb{R}^3}\) by natural extension to \(\overline {\mathbb{R}^4}\).
