This article deals with linear systems of functional differential equations with delay such that the functional argument has no initial deviating. In particular, the author is interested in the Cauchy problem \[ t\dot x(t)= A(t) x(h(t))+ F(t),\quad x(0)= x_0 \] \((t\in J=[0, t_0]\), \(t_0<1\), \(x_0\in\mathbb{R}^k\), \(x, F: J\to\mathbb{R}^k\), \(A:J\to \mathbb{R}^{k\times k}\) and \(h(t)= \sum^\infty_{n=1} h_nt^n\)) in a neighborhood of a regular singularity. Provided that \(A\) and \(F\) are analytic and supposed some technical assumption concerning the coefficients \(h_n\) holds, the author proves that there is a unique point \((x_0,0)\) such that the initial problem has a unique analytic solution of the form \(x(t)= \sum^\infty_{n=1} x_nt^n\).
