Let \(M_{p,q}\) be the hypersurface \(S^{2p+1}\times S^{2q+1}\) of \(S^{n+2}\), where \(2(p+q)= n-1\). Denote \(M^{\mathbb{C}}_{p,q}= \pi(M_{p,q})\), where \(\pi: S^{n+2}\to P^{{n+1\over 2}}\mathbb{C}\) is the Hopf bifraction. Consider a compact and minimal real \(n\)-dimensional CR-submanifold of the complex projective space \(P^{{n+1\over 2}}\mathbb{C}\) such that \(TM= D\oplus D^\perp\), \(J(D)= D\), \(J(D^\perp)\subset TM^\perp\) and \(\dim D^\perp= 1\), where \(J\) is the complex structure on \(P^{{n+1\over 2}}\mathbb{C}\) [cf. \textit{A. Bejancu}, Geometry of CR-submanifolds (D. Reidel, Dordrecht) (1986; Zbl 0605.53001)]. The main purpose of this paper is to prove the following result: Suppose \(J(D^\perp)\) is parallel with respect to the normal connection and the scalar curvature of \(M\) is greater than or equal to \((n+2)(n-1)\). Then \(M\) is an \(M^{\mathbb{C}}_{p,q}\). This is a generalization of a result stated in [\textit{H. B. Lawson jun.}, J. Differ. Geom. 4, 349-357 (1970; Zbl 0199.56401)] with respect to real hypersurfaces of a complex projective space.
