N. I. Lobachevsky as an educator and enlightener (Q1358342)

An outline of the contribution made by N. I. Lobachevsky to the cause of education in Russia. Besides his 35 years of teaching at the university of Kasan, Lobachevsky was also deeply involved in the matters of educational institutions of the whole Kasan district comprising one third of the European Russia. The author reminds some of the relevant documents and highly praises Lobachevsky's pedagogical views.
